A christening can cost as much or as little as you like. There will always be some costs involved, but these don’t have to be high if you put the time and effort into thinking of ways to reduce them. As with anything, significant cost savings can be made with a little bit of thought and planning.
For starters, the venue doesn’t have to be expensive. You might want to have a christening party in a church hall or other location, but if you don’t want to pay much for it, there will be some very good value options – especially if you are happy to book far enough in advance. You could also hold the party at home to save costs further. The christening gown will probably be another high expense for some people but you can always choose a second hand gown to save money. Many people sell on beautiful gowns and there is definitely the option to find one you love that was previously owned.
