This christening gown is designed by Rosemarie Tayler and is made totally in Northampton, England by Sunday Best. The Christabella gown, produced from prime quality 100% silk dupion, is designed with a generous full skirt that’s gathered onto a conventional yoke. The sleeves and fringe of the yoke are decorated with fine Nottingham lace. The underside of the skirt is gathered in swirls to offer a scalloped shaped hemline that’s trimmed with a much wider lace that is then gathered and caught into swag hoops. Each swag is decorated with thin ribbons, tied into neat little bows and decorated with a tiny pearl. The skinny ribbons are left longer to drape down over the lace trimmed underskirt which are glimpsed underneath. The robe is provided with an identical, lace trimmed peak bonnet with satin ribbon ties.
